I Am Dreaming of America DVD
In I Am Dreaming of America, forty-two homeschooled students tell the story of European immigrants sailing to America in 1908. They are seeking a better life with more opportunity than any of them has known before. As they board the ship and set out together, they learn to appreciate each other and the cultures from which they come. They come from different places, but they share a common dream of a new and better life in the New World. Victoria Madeline Wimbleton boards the ship with the rest--by mistake. She is supposed to have a room of her own on a luxury ship, but somehow she ends up among these "lowest of the low class." She thinks herself far better than all of them, but maybe deep inside they aren't so different after all.
International folk dances, traditional tunes, and original musical numbers make this time in our nation's history come alive for the entire family.
